September 26, 2005 Ottawa, Canada -- Innocor, a provider of broadband test platforms, today announced that it has added 10-Gigabit Fibre Channel test capabilities to its TestPoint portfolio of next-generation test equipment.

The company contends that testing at the 10G level requires service integrity assurance and simulation of the transmission environment; these two parameter measurements require precise testing platforms to guarantee quality, says the company. According to the company, its 10G fibre channel TestPoint platform addresses these needs of transport applications by adding a sixth physical line rate of 10.5185 Gbit/sec to the company's multi-rate, multi-protocol 10-Gigabit test platforms.

By adding this capability to its 10-Gbit/sec offerings, the company says it is providing a complete transmission-focused test platform; other aspects of the company's 10G offerings include 10-Gigabit Ethernet and Forward Error Correction test capabilities.

"We see 10G Fibre Channel as an emerging application in core networks, and have been working closely with our customers to ensure we are always providing leading edge solutions," comments Randy Gill, president of Innocor. "Innocor's TestPoint family of test platforms fulfills the market need for a complete, versatile 10G solution that provides the functionality to address multi-service transport environments."

The 10-Gigabit Fibre Channel test capabilities are available as a field upgrade to the company's portable TS-10 configuration, as well as to its TS-30 and TS-170 configurations.
