According to the market and technology forecast consultancy's new market forecast and analysis of the global market consumption and technology trends of fiber optic component/module type attenuators, the worldwide consumption value of such devices reached $125 million in 2007. ElectroniCast forecasts an increase to $213 million in 2012, with strongly rising quantity growth partially offset by a continuing decline of average selling prices.
