SEPTEMBER 16, 2009 -- A spin-off from Acreo Fiberlab, Fibertronix AB develops and manufactures specialty optical fibers and fiber-based technologies, targeting advanced and customized applications primarily in the oil and gas, military, and avionics industries. Fibertronix headquarter and manufacturing facilities are based in Hudiksvall, Sweden.

Fibertronix employs its proprietary manufacturing process to develop standard and nonstandard fiber products based on research performed at Acreo Fiberlab over the past 10 years. The company says its manufacturing processes enable it to produce fibers with high levels of optical and geometrical uniformity and batch-to-batch consistency at cost-competitive pricing.

The company says it is able to quickly respond to the requirements of customers with a flexible production capability that was designed and built for maximum performance. It designs, develops, and produces high-quality fibers with quick delivery.

The product portfolio includes a range of special fibers such as polyimide, high-temperature acrylate, and hermetic-coated, as well as pure-core, high-NA, large-core, radiation-hard, rare-earth doped, microstructured custom fibers and preforms.

Fibertronix will be showcasing its products at the OFS-20 show in Edinburgh, UK, Oct. 7-9, 2009.
