Pangaea Networks expands its Ethernet services into Arbinet IP exchange point of presence

FEBRUARY 23, 2010 -- Pangaea Networks Inc. in Glen Rock, N.J., is expanding its Ethernet local loop network into IP exchange point of presence (PoP) of Arbinet Corp. at 75 Broad Street in the Financial District of Manhattan.

Arbinet is a wholesale voice and data telecommunications broadband access provider in New Brunswick, N.J. The company's IP Solutions provide Internet transit options through its exchange platform. With one connection or local loop, buyers gain access to several IP backbones and the option to choose suppliers.

By combining Pangaea's Metro Ethernet solutions with Arbinet's IP services, Pangaea offers IP transit solutions bundled with its metro network offering. By interconnecting its network to Arbinet's IP Exchange, Pangaea's customers gain access to layer 2 access to major Internet backbones and Arbinet's OptimizedIP service.
