Xilinx orders Centellax 32G stressed serial BERT for device characterization

FPGA developer Xilinx has ordered several Centellax SSB32J Stressed Serial BERT test and measurement instruments for device characterization, Centellax reveals.

David Ferguson, principal characterization engineer at Xilinx, chose the Centellax stressed serial BERTs after what Centallax says was “a thorough evaluation of the competitive offerings.”

“Our evaluation clearly showed that Centellax had the best performance and the best price,” Ferguson told Centallax. “We are very happy to be associated with your excellent instrument.”

William Sitch, vice president of sales at Centellax, says he’s found a high degree of traction for the SSB32J in the market because of its ability to meet both performance and affordability requirements in lab and manufacturing applications. “You almost never see the same instruments in R&D and on the test floor; usually the models sold to R&D are too expensive to build into five or ten production test lines,” he explains.

Sitch adds that Centellax’s Shenzhen-based service and support office has proven a differentiator with customers who use offshore production lines in China.
