Aug. 16, 2012
JT Global, formerly known as Jersey Telecom, is rolling out Netadmin System’s FTTH open access network management software as part of a deployment that aims to reach 42,000 premises on Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands. Following a pilot scheme that has been in place since December 2011, the software tool will now be applied across the entire project to automate the service fulfillment and assurance processes, including a user-friendly platform from which JT and other service providers on and off the island can launch services.

Netadmin is working on the Jersey project alongside other technology partners, including Cisco, Genexis, and Dimension Data.

“With the implementation of a full FTTH network planned, and such an advanced network management system soon in place, Jersey is one of the most innovative and commercially viable environments to do business,” says Dave Newbold, JT’s chief operations and technology officer.

The platform provides functional support for automated services fulfillment, including inventory and resource management, ticket management, service level agreement (SLA) statistics, and faster network troubleshooting.
