EXFO provides service assurance for transport SLAs

Part of the overall Brix System for converged service assurance, the BV-110 enables service providers and mobile network operators to assure the quality of their services, reduce mean-time-to-repair (MTTR), and avoid unnecessary truck rolls, resulting in significant cost savings. The BV-110 offers enhanced operational efficiency and network visibility thanks to multifunction, simultaneous measurements, patented HW time-stamping technology, and evolutionary design, the company claims.

The BV-110 monitors transport network performance and allows fixed and mobile network operators to simultaneously measure the true end-user QoE over both wireline and wireless segments. EXFO says its new probe, therefore, plays an instrumental role in maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and reducing churn, which is essential to the operators' revenue stream.

"The new BV-110 Verifier is a true multi-play solution designed for simultaneous assurance of data, voice, video, and mobile services. It delivers network to application layer performance, with extensive QoE monitoring," said Claudio Mazzuca, vice president of EXFO's Systems and Service Assurance Division. "This new monitoring tool provides the visibility and details that are essential for network administrators to quickly and easily troubleshoot performance issues that affect end users' QoE."
