ADTRAN Inc. (NASDAQ:ADTN) says it is providing Ethernet over Fiber (EoF) equipment as the infrastructure foundation for Texhoma Fiber. ADTRAN says its EoF product portfolio provides flexibility and resiliency for SLA-based wholesale broadband and mobile backhaul services
With more than 250 miles of fiber-optic cable installed across Oklahoma and Texas, Texhoma Fiber provides wholesale internet, native Ethernet backhaul, and transport services for communications and telephone companies and cable MSOs, as well as businesses needing high-speed fiber-optic transmission.
ADTRAN's EoF portfolio, composed of the Total Access 5000 and the NetVanta 8000 platforms, offers Texhoma Fiber inherent protection and resiliency across its fiber-optic network while at the same time enabling Texhoma Fiber to offer higher bandwidths up to 1 Gbps and reach greater distances of up to 80 km for their customer base.
Texhoma Fiber says its requirements for flexible bandwidth, improved service scalability, and increased performance to accelerate the adoption of new applications were key considerations in the choice of equipment and supplier. Texhoma Fiber knows that it is critical to provide its wholesale business customers with infrastructure which enables them to acquire more customers with better services sooner. ADTRAN says its scalable platforms support a wide variety of service migration needs as Texhoma Fiber’s customers continue to examine the demand for greater bandwidth. ADTRAN’s Ethernet product set also offers Texhoma Fiber an optical transport platform for mobile backhaul networks to better support the growing bandwidth needs and meet the stringent SLA requirements of its Tier 1 mobile operator customers.
