EXFO targets 400-Gbps test requirements

EXFO Inc. (NASDAQ: EXFO) (TSX: EXF) has unveiled what it asserts is the first integrated 400-Gbps test system. The IQS-610P-HS-400G builds on EXFO's recently announced IQS-88100G Power Blazer module, and is designed to meet the requirements of both network equipment manufacturers who are designing 400-Gbps optical transport equipment as well as the carriers who are evaluating such technology in their labs.

EXFO Inc. (NASDAQ: EXFO) (TSX: EXF) has unveiled what it asserts is the first integrated 400-Gbps test system. The IQS-610P-HS-400G builds on EXFO's IQS-88100G Power Blazer module and is designed to meet the requirements of both network equipment manufacturers who are designing 400-Gbps optical transport equipment as well as the carriers who are evaluating such technology in their labs.

According to EXFO’s website, where the new offering is called the TKS-610-88100G-400G, the IQS-610P-HS-400G supports four IQS-88100G Power Blazer modules in the IQS-610P platform. In this configuration, the system can be used to fill a 400-Gbps data pipe as well as to configure up to four 100-Gbps client interfaces simultaneously with full traffic profiling, shaping, and monitoring capabilities. The test system also has centralized test configurations and result views, as well as automation capabilities that enable the repeat of test routines throughout the development cycle. Taken together, the IQS-610P-HS-400G enables technicians to efficiently simulate services at 400 Gbps and monitor quality of service attributes to validate system performance.
