TransIndonesia Network upgrades access and aggregation network with Coriant packet optical platform

Indonesia wholesale bandwidth services provider TransIndonesia Network has chosen the Coriant 7090 Packet Transport Platform to support packet-based multiservice capabilities in the access and aggregation segments of its fiber-optic network in Jakarta, according to the optical transport systems vendor.

The addition of the Coriant 7090 packet-optical transport system will complement the hiT 7300 systems TransIndonesia network is using in its DWDM infrastructure. Coriant says the use of its TNMS network management and service provisioning platform will enable fully integrated end-to-end provisioning capabilities across the service provider’s access, aggregation, and core networks.

TransIndonesia network operates long-haul and metro fiber-optic networks that serve the major cities and other high-growth areas of Indonesia. The company’s infrastructure includes 6000 km of optical network that connects 68 cities.

The 7090 is a relatively recent addition to Coriant’s optical transport portfolio. The system combines TDM (SDH, OTN) and packet transport (IP/MPLS, Ethernet) into a single MPLS-TP-based Packet Transport Network (PTN) platform.
