Reflex Photonics, a developer of high-speed, parallel-channel optical components and modules, has unveiled new 120G SNAP12 and POP4 products with industrial temperature performance (-40 to +85 degrees C).

Reflex Photonics now offers 100% multi-source agreement (MSA) compatible SNAP12 and POP4 optical modules with speeds from 2G to 10G per channel in both commercial and industrial operating temperature ranges. Backed by the PPOD MSA, device compatibility is ensured, the company says.

The enhanced version of Reflex’s SNAP12 module achieves the same performance as other PPOD modules on the market, but using only 1 W for operation from -40C to +85C, the vendor asserts.

The new SNAP12 and POP4 modules deliver error-free operation over 100 m of OM3 multimode fiber cable with the latest lower power electronics and VCSEL technology, according to the vendor. The bit error rate is better than e-12 over the specified temperature range: 0 to 70C for the commercial version or -40 to +85C for the industrial version.

Want to learn more about optical module innovation? Attend the Lightwave Optical Innovation Summit
The Lightwave Optical Innovation Summit will feature panels and presentations that will illuminate where optical innovation is required in carrier and enterprise/data center networks, what it should look like, and when it might appear. A wide range of experts from the user, technology development, academic, and analyst communities will offer their views on innovation in a variety of areas, including optical modules. Find out more about the Summit, which will be held in Austin, TX, July 14-16, at the Lightwave Optical Innovation Summit website.
