Comcast Business, the business services unit of cable MSO Comcast Corp. (Nasdaq: CMCSA, CMCSK), says its full portfolio of Ethernet services is now available to new customers in Salt Lake City's growing business district along California Avenue.

California Avenue is home to a number of large industrial, manufacturing, and trucking businesses. Through the expansion of Comcast's Ethernet network, local businesses now have access to bandwidth of up to 10 Gbps as well as such Comcast Business Ethernet services as Ethernet Dedicated Internet, Ethernet Network Service, Ethernet Private Line, and Ethernet Virtual Private Line.

"The expansion of our network into new areas of Salt Lake City illustrates our continued commitment to bringing reliable, high-capacity network connectivity to businesses focused on growing and staying competitive as technology plays a bigger role in their success," said Paul Merritt, director for Comcast Business. "Every business has unique needs that must be met in order to achieve success in their industry. With access to more options for connectivity, local businesses are better positioned to choose the services that best fit their situation."

Comcast's Ethernet services are delivered over a fiber-optic network that spans 140,000 miles across 39 states and the District of Columbia. The network features a 100-Gbps backbone and expanded local footprint through Ethernet over hybrid/fiber-coax.
