UK’s BSO tackles U.S. fiber services market with metro New York City connections

UK headquartered Ethernet, cloud, and hosting provider BSO has established a footprint in the U.S. with a fiber-optic network in the metro New York City area. The network offers onward connectivity to Chicago to offer services to financial districts in the two cities as well as BSO’s global network. It serves as the first of the company’s announced routes in North America.

The new metro fiber network focuses on New York City's financial district. The route connects several Equinix data center facilities and other well-known locations in the region. The route runs through Equinix NY4, Equinix NY9, 325 Hudson, 60 Hudson, 165 Halsey, and back to Equinix NY4. The connections through 165 Halsey also will have access to a diverse route to CME Aurora in Chicago that BSO says avoids 350 E. Cermak and Equinix NY4. The new circuit also provides access to the company's "BSO-FX Ultra Low" London/Tokyo/New York FX circuit.

BSO says its global Ethernet network reaches every continent and spans 20 countries with 86 data center locations. These include London, New York, Chicago, Russia and Europe, Dubai and other parts of the Middle East, and the Asia Pacific region, including Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Mumbai, and Sydney.
