OE Solutions CSC LambdaRich Transceiver

March 17, 2015
The CSC LambdaRich Transceiver is a single-fiber bi-directional CWDM transceiver that uses Cooled Single Channel (CSC) technology. Integrated into the laser TO package is a specially designed filter that divides a single 20-nm CWDM channel into two sub-channels.
The CSC LambdaRich Transceiver saves operational and capital expense by doubling the capacity of a fiber. Judge's Comment.
The CSC LambdaRich Transceiver is a single-fiber bi-directional CWDM transceiver that uses Cooled Single Channel (CSC) technology. Integrated into the laser TO package is a specially designed filter that divides a single 20-nm CWDM channel into two sub-channels. Thermo-electric cooling controls wavelengths more accurately by locking the nominal lambda so that it will have fewer shifts due to temperature.

The LambdaRich Transceiver requires only one single fiber to build up to 18 bidirectional links, which OE Solutions says combats fiber exhaust and lowers operational expenditures. It is compatible with standard CWDM filters in mux and LC/UPC connectors, which means no new or customized components are needed to double channel capacity.
