AFL will launch a pair of new products this week at the 2012 BICSI Winter Conference at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, FL. The unveilings will include the NOYES M210 QUAD OTDR, which is a new "inspection-ready" hand-held OTDR, as well as an improved high-density, sub-unitized MicroCore data center cable.

The NOYES M210 QUAD OTDR offers better performance, higher functional integration, and an improved user experience over current µOTDRs, AFL asserts. The M210 is the first OTDR in its size and price range that includes an integrated optical power meter, an integrated visual fault identifier, and support for a high-resolution Digital FiberScope, the company adds.

Meanwhile, the new MicroCore data center cable is 40% smaller in diameter than the industry-standard alternative, AFL says. The cable provides what the company says is “industry leading” density, ease of termination, and fiber organization. The data center cable is available with 96 and 144 fibers in UL-compliant plenum, riser, and IEC low-smoke zero halogen constructions.

The new products, as well as many of AFL’s existing offerings, are on display at Booth #400.
