Tilgin’s FTTH CPE deployed in Norway

Swedish FTTx equipment vendor Tilgin AB says Enivest, a regional fiber provider in Norway, will now base its fiber to the home (FTTH) deployment on Tilgin’s Flexible Premise Solution.

Enivest will combine Tilgin's MSA970 fiber termination unit and the HG2300 home gateway, which will all be managed through tGem, Tilgin’s TR-069 Auto Configuration Server (ACS).

Tilgin says that its fully managed product portfolio enables operators like Enivest to radically simplify the deployment and maintenance of their connected homes. They will also be able to cut back on field visits thanks to the zero-touch provisioning, as well as benefit from the simplicity of the customer self-installation procedures.

Enivest will use tGem for advanced troubleshooting, alarms and monitoring – enabling them to keep customer satisfaction levels high, the company predicts.

Tilgin launched the Flexible Premises concept at the 2012 FTTH Conference, when it introduced the latest fiber termination unit MSA970. Market response was positive, with operators starting to base their FTTH/FTTB strategy on the concept, Tilgin asserts.

“Today, our concept is a reality, a solution we can deliver to our clients. It provides our customers a solid business case; the flexible premises business case.” says Eric Hjelmestam, vice president solution management and marketing at Tilgin.

Hjelmestam continues, “It is great to see that some of our Scandinavian clients that were early adopters of the concept in their FTTH/FTTB strategy now are deploying the solution."
