Zhone offers XG-PON1 line card for MXK platform

FTTx equipment provider Zhone Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZHNE) says it will support 10G GPON applications with an XG-PON1 Line Card for its MXK platform. The company unveiled the line card at the FTTH Conference Europe event this week in Stockholm.

FTTx equipment provider Zhone Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZHNE) says it will support 10G GPON applications with an XG-PON1 line card for its MXK platform. The company unveiled the line card at the FTTH Conference Europe event this week in Stockholm.

The new XG-PON1 capability will enable the MXK to support transmission of 10 Gbps downstream and 2.5 Gbps upstream for fiber to the premises (FTTP) applications.
