Light Brigade to offer series of fiber-optic training webinars

Education and training specialist Light Brigade, a unit of AFL, will once again offer a series of fiber-optic training webinars via Lightwave. The series will feature a free webinar each month.

Education and training specialist Light Brigade, a unit of AFL, will once again offer a series of fiber-optic training webinars via Lightwave. The series will feature a free webinar each month.

The first webinars in the series include “Safety Concerns in Fiber Optic Systems ” at noon Eastern March 26 and “Fiber and Cable Management Products ” April 23 at 1 PM Eastern. In addition to the live broadcasts, each webinar will be available after the presentation date for on-demand viewing, also at no charge.

Additional announced topics announced for the series include:

  • FTTx outside plant design
  • multimode bandwidth for Pro A/V applications
  • passive optical local area networks (POLANs)
  • fiber to the antenna
  • fiber-optic sensing technology
  • multimode technology updates
  • singlemode technology updates
  • fiber optics in utility applications.
