Level 3 connects Vyvx video fiber-optic network to additional sports venues

Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE: LVLT) says it has connected its s Vyvx video broadcast network to another 29 U.S. professional sports venues. The additions bring the total number of professional sporting facilities connected via Level 3's fiber-optic network to 55.

Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE: LVLT) says it has connected its s Vyvx video broadcast network to another 29 U.S. professional sports venues. The additions bring the total number of professional sporting facilities connected via Level 3's fiber-optic network to 55.

Including sites connected via off-net capabilities, the service provider can offer connectivity to more than 100 different professional sports venues and 86 college sporting venues.

Level 3 offers broadcast network as well as voice, data, and security via the Vyvx network. The network has the capability to support 4K video acquisition and distribution as well, Level 3 asserts.

"This important investment in Level 3's Vyvx infrastructure not only provides broadcasters and venues with access to a wider variety of network services, but also allows for future-proofing to ensure they are connected to a network that can adapt for continued growth and changes in technology."
