Aria Networks, which offers software services for network operators, data centers, and high-traffic Internet services, says that a large over-the-top (OTT) service provider is using the newly launched 3.2 version of its network planning and optimization software suite. The U.S.-based global brand, which Aria declined to identify further, is using the software suite in a software-defined network (SDN) context across multiple network technologies, the company says.
The customer will use the software for network optimization and network growth planning as well as predicting the effect of infrastructure failures. Aria Networks says it will perform live analysis of traffic demands every five minutes to enable network orchestrate optimized services in real time.
The new version of Aria Network's software suite features enhancements for multi-layer optimization. The suite addresses such issues as:
- failure analysis and fast re-route
- fast network rollout including automation of additional network nodes
- LSP path optimization
- traffic engineered optimization
- backbone optimization.
"The roll out of the latest version of Aria Networks' software suites to this global network proves the transformational impact of a software-defined approach," commented Douglas Gracie, COO at Aria Networks. "This complex network can automatically respond to new demands placed on it, react quickly to failure scenarios, and has improved its service level to customers in real time."
