VeEX Inc. says it has increased the throughput of its UX400 100G test platform to 600 Gbps. The test and measurement system targets 100 Gigabit Ethernet and OTU4 test applications within data centers, aggregation points, core networks, as well as 400-Gbps technology development scenarios and evaluation labs.

VeEX Inc. says it has increased the throughput of its UX400 100G test platform to 600 Gbps. The test and measurement system targets 100 Gigabit Ethernet and OTU4 test applications within data centers, aggregation points, core networks, as well as 400-Gbps technology development scenarios and evaluation labs.

The UX400, available in portable and rack-mount configurations, now also accommodates QSFP28 pluggable optical transceiver form factors.

As the new throughput number implies, the UX400 can accommodate up to six 100G optical modules concurrently. This makes the system suitable for testing aggregation points or as a shared resource. The system leverages a variety of 100G test modules to support 100GbE, 40GbE, OTU4, OTU3, STL256.4, STM-256, and OC-768 testing, including multi-level mapping/multiplexing of internally generated SDH, SONET, PDH, and DSn test payloads. Technicians can combine these modules with other UX400 test modules, including those that support optical spectrum analysis.

"The UX400 Test Platform lives up to its Universal Expert name by supporting all industry-available 100G pluggable form factor optical modules, including CFP, CFP2, CFP4, QSFP28, as well as QSFP+ for 40G. This unprecedented flexibility enables traffic aggregation testing up to 600 Gbps in a single test set," said Ildefonso Polo, director of product marketing for VeEX.
