M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc. (MACOM; NASDAQ: MTSI) now offers the wideband MAOM-003427 quad channel linear modulator driver. The surface-mount devices features 46-Gbaud capability for 200-Gbps and 400-Gbps designs.

M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc. (MACOM; NASDAQ: MTSI) now offers the wideband MAOM-003427 quad channel linear modulator driver. The surface-mount devices features 46-Gbaud capability for 200-Gbps and 400-Gbps designs.

Besides offering a surface-mount alternative to more common "gold box" packages for such baud rates, the MAOM-003427 also features wide bandwidth, low power dissipation, and excellent linearity, MACOM asserts. The driver is pin compatible with MACOM other 32-Gbaud surface mount devices, the MAOM-003405 and MAOM-003407, to support equipment upgrade roadmaps.

MACOM says the MAOM-003427 modulator driver is sampling to customers now.
