Tektronix says they can now offer test and measurement capabilities that support IEEE 802.3bm technology development. The company says it can now support automated transmitter dispersion eye closure (TDEC) measurement and 100GBASE-SR4 conformance testing.

The turnkey 802.3bm capabilities are based on a DSA8300 equivalent time oscilloscope equipped with an 80C15 optical module. The module is the only such unit available that supports full clock recovery and TDEC automation beyond 25.781 Gbps, Tektronix asserts. The 80C15’s low noise performance makes it useful for a broad range of applications in addition to 802.3bm applications, the company adds.

Tektronix will demonstrate the new capabilities at ECOC in Valencia, Spain.

The automated TDEC/100GBASE-SR4 capability for use with a Tektronix DSA8300 oscilloscope and 80C15 optical module is available for order now, priced starting at $2,500 MSRP.
