May 4, 2006 Minneapolis, MN -- ADC announced the availability of what it calls a complete portfolio of data center-grade infrastructure products. Designed to meet guidelines of data center design set forth by standards such as TIA-942, the company says its data center product line is led by its "flagship" TrueNet structured cabling system.

ADC calls its TrueNet platform a highly reliable, end-to-end system designed to meet the unique network infrastructure needs of enterprises, backed by the company's Zero Bit-Error Warranty guaranteeing signal integrity and network throughput.

The company says the platform features proven cable, connectivity, and cable management products for fiber, 10 Gigabit Ethernet over UTP, and Category 6/5e media. According to the company, using high quality physical layer components such as those in its TrueNet portfolio eliminates network infrastructure problems that can leave data centers vulnerable to failure or early obsolescence.

"Organizations such as businesses, schools and universities, government agencies, and healthcare enterprises are increasingly pushing the performance envelope," remarks Pat O'Brien, president of ADC's Global Connectivity Solutions business unit. "To address this critical need, ADC has developed innovative solutions designed to optimize data centers, based on our proven experience in providing infrastructure for the world's most elite class of data networks."

For the data center market, the company calls the TrueNet platform one of the industry's broadest vertically integrated product portfolios. The platform includes fiber and copper cable products, advanced fiber management products, high-density fiber terminations, as well as the company's CopperTen brand of 10-Gbit copper Ethernet products and its Glide brand of high-density cable management products.
