As cable-TV service providers have evolved to multiple systems operators (MSOs), they now rely on fiber optics to deliver broadband voice, video, and data services. Cable MSOs have increasingly embraced FTTH, whether PON, Active Ethernet, or RF over glass (RFoG). Their long-haul links incorporate DWDM and now ROADM systems as well.
