Go!Foton Corp. says it will use ANGA COM 2018 to debut its PEACOC v3.0 in Europe. The fiber management system is designed to meet the architectural and business needs of fiber-optic densification in telecommunications central offices and data centers that are moving toward 5G, C-RAN, NG-PON2, and other next-generation applications (see "Go!Foton offers PEACOC V3.0 fiber management platform for central offices, data center networks").
PEACOC V3.0 now comes in a new, compact OSP form factor and offers European operators the high density expected to be required in central offices as service providers roll out 5G, says the company. The platform also provides field technicians with easy access to both front- and back-side connectors while working from the front side of the rack mount chassis. Such access makes installation of the PEACOC v3.0 platform into any existing 19-inch or 23-inch rack or frame straightforward, asserts Go!Foton.
The PEACOC's FleT is a Flexible Tray configuration designed to support all traditional patching, patch and splice, and MPO tie-in scenario. It also offers usersvarious options for integrating passive optical modules, including port monitor taps, xWDM filters, and PLC splitters. With a patented spreadable adapter design for fast, accurate access, the platform has undergone strict qualification testing and is entirely compliant with Telcordia's GR-449.
Go!Foton sees PEACOC as ideal for high port count applications such as CPRI tapping and remote PHY. According to Go!Foton, the fiber management platform is currently deployed with a large, North American Tier 1 service provider that the company did not name.
A 2018 Lightwave Innovation Reviews winner, the PEACOC v3.0 high density fiber management platform and other optical connectivity modules will be displayed by Go!Foton in Booth 7 / B83 at ANGA COM in Kolenmesse, Cologne, June 12-14, 2018 (see "Go!Foton Corp. PEACOC HD Fiber Platform for Port Monitoring Applications").
