euNetworks brings data center interconnect services to Dublin and Hilversum

Fiber-optic network services provider euNetworks says it has completed fiber network deployments in Dublin and Hilversum, the Netherlands. The company will use the fiber infrastructure to provide its dc connect data center interconnect offering.

Fiber-optic network services provider euNetworks says it has completed fiber network deployments in Dublin and Hilversum, the Netherlands. The company will use the fiber infrastructure to provide its dc connect data center interconnect offering.

In Dublin, the service will offer connectivity among 15 data centers in the city. Hilversum, meanwhile, joins Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Utrecht as Dutch dc connect markets. euNetworks says it can offer capacity to 34 data centers the Netherlands.

Since it first offered the dc connect services in London in 2014, euNetworks has rolled out the offering in 8 of its 14 fiber-based city networks, including Frankfurt, Paris, Manchester, Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam, and various sites in Switzerland. The company plans to add markets in the future. The service features a 20-working-day delivery SLA commitment between data centers in these locations.

“We invest in our network and deploy capital to provide high bandwidth scalable connections in the markets in which we operate,” said Jennifer Smith, chief financial officer of euNetworks. “We have owned and operated a fiber network in Dublin for a number of years. The acquisition of Inland Fibre in 2015 added a number of unique features to our footprint, with routes along canal ways, diversity options to key data centers, as well as access to business parks. Enabling dc connect in Dublin for our customers offers further service differentiation and support as the demand for rapid turn up of high bandwidth services between data centers, including hyperscale facilities, continues.”
