Viavi Debuts DOCSIS 3.1 Field Meter

Viavi Solutions (NASDAQ:VIAV) has introduced a signal analysis meter compliant with DOCSIS 3.1, intended for MSO field technicians. The OneExpert CATV Signal Analysis Meter features an embedded DOCSIS 3.1 modem for Internet service testing up to 1 Gbps. It's also available in a DOCSIS 3.0 version with 32x8 bonding, software upgradable to DOCSIS 3.1.

Other features include:

• Multi-touch interface with OneCheck automated testing and a dashboard indicating pass-fail results and suggested next steps for troubleshooting
• Compatible with the StrataSync cloud-based management platform, providing asset, configuration, upgrade and test data management for Viavi instruments
• When combined with other Viavi products, OneExpert offers a solution to test and provision DOCSIS 3.1, fiber to the home (FTTH) and WiFi
