Louisiana Telco Goes Gig with ADTRAN

Louisiana telco EATEL has joined ADTRAN's (NASDAQ:ADTN) "Enabling Communities, Connecting Lives" program, leveraging the vendor's gigabit broadband platform for its new GIG Internet service offering. The deployment is also intended to lay the groundwork for faster speeds up to 10G in the future.

The "Enabling Communities, Connecting Lives" program currently comprises more than 200 communities.

Founded in 1935, EATEL serves Ascension and Livingston Parishes in southeastern Louisiana, providing phone, Internet and TV over an all-fiber network.
