Qligent has developed a new multichannel visualization application for its Vision cloud-based monitoring and analysis platform. The new application is intended to extend Qligent's multisite capability, offering a way to monitor the health and status of several video channels via one screen.

Vision is designed to be deployed on-premises, in the cloud or via Qligent's Oversight managed service. Oversight has the same features as Vision but reallocates the day-to-day monitoring, analysis and troubleshooting responsibilities from in-house staff to Qligent personnel.

Qligent uses a three-step workflow. Using Qligent's customized video widgets (Vidgets), users can combine any monitoring parameters to visualize performance issues that matter most to the user, determine impact on the viewer and drill down to the root of the problem.

The new multichannel visualization application crosses quality of experience (QoE) and quality of service (QoS). The QoE dimension is designed to provide visualization of all audio and video streams (and associated data), giving views of current and historic performance of all channels across each delivery platform. The QoS dimension is designed to allow users to objectively measure transport and physical layers to ensure standards are being met.

Qligent will demonstrate the multichannel visualization application at IBC 2015 in September in Amsterdam.
