Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) is beta-testing a streaming video service called Stream. It includes live and on-demand content, access to TV Everywhere and a cloud DVR. The OTT service, which will cost $15 a month, is targeted toward Xfinity Internet subscribers and is expected to launch in Boston at the end of the summer, then Chicago and Seattle, and across the MSO's footprint by early 2016.
In other Comcast news, the MSO has launched its cloud-based X1 DVR with live in-home streaming in Oregon and Washington. Comcast previously launched the streaming feature in several California markets, including central California and the San Francisco Bay area.
