Suddenlink has begun offering residential customers in four communities its new up to 1 Gbps Internet service. The first Suddenlink markets to get the gigabit service are Bryan-College Station, TX; Nixa, MO: and Greenville and Rocky Mount, NC.

The gigabit broadband service is a part of "Operation GigaSpeed," a company-wide plan announced last August. As part of Operation GigaSpeed, Suddenlink introduced a first phase of Internet speed increases in various communities late last year and earlier this year.

In addition to launching the gigabit Internet service, residential high-speed Internet customers in the listed communities with current downstream speeds up to 75 and 100 Mbps will be upgraded to services with downstream speeds up to 100 and 200 Mbps, respectively, at no added charge.
