Preformed Line Products will introduce several outside plant network line extensions to its COYOTE product family at the 2015 FTTH Show in Anaheim, CA. The show will feature PLP products in actual installations (i.e., on poles, etc.), to show hardware, wiring, and connectability. In addition, formed wire products for aerial construction of ADSS cable and strand hardware, like GUY-GRIP dead-ends, will be featured.

New products on show include three fiber drop termination closures that are flame retardant, re-enterable and reusable, with factory-installed sealing materials and compact form factors. Other new products include an aerial termination closure and a drop cable storage bracket.

  • The compact inline COYOTE DTC2 (Drop Termination Closure) is designed to be configured to support applications including splice, repair, and duct transition. It has internal adapters to couple standard pre-connectorized drop cable assemblies.
  • The COYOTE DTC4 and DTC6 (Drop Termination Closures) are designed to support splicing, connectivity or ducting applications using traditional cable, blown fiber, pushable drop cable technology or microtube cable in a footprint slightly larger than a splice tray. They have multiple internal fiber organizers.
  • The COYOTE DTC8 (Drop Termination Closure) is designed to support a range of fiber organizer systems for splice, distributed splitter and drop applications using traditional cable, blown fiber cable, pushable drop cable technology or microtube cable, as well as pre-connectorized drop applications.
  • The COYOTE ATC (Aerial Termination Closure) is designed to support drop distribution networks without the need for specialized drop cable assemblies, and features a dual-chamber design with independent access to the splice/slack storage chamber or the drop connection chamber. The grommet sealing system supports a range of cable profiles.
  • The FIBERLIGN FDC8 (Drop Cable Storage Bracket) is designed to store slack cables in-span or pole-/vault-/wall-mounts, at an 8-inch minimum storage diameter to avoid fiber attenuation or damage. In aerial applications, the ridged design and capture tabs are designed to keep cable secure under high wind and ice loads, and can be double-stacked.
