VeEX has announced the Cable Expert Test Module addition for its RXT-1200 modular multi-service platform. The new RXT-8000 Cable Expert Test Module is designed for the MSO tech with a wide range of test and measurement responsibilities. It features a spectrum analyzer, burst QAM demodulator, MPEG Explorer, signal level meter, and Gigabit Ethernet tester with service level agreement (SLA) validation.
It also has a built-in DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem for verification and provisioning of services based on 24x8 bonded DOCSIS channels. Coupled with the VeTest engine, the RXT-8000 is intended to allow techs to certify SLAs to ensure proper throughput.
In other VeEX news, the company has announced two new CFP2 and CFP4 transceiver based test modules for the UX400 Universal Test Platform. The new modules are designed for 100G Ethernet and OTU4 fiber test applications within the data center or core network. The test module combinations are being demonstrated at ANGA COM in Cologne, Germany.
