Alpha Technologies is launching its EM Series power supply for European cable and broadband LAN distribution systems at ANGA COM in Germany. Designed as an entry-level standby power supply, the EM Series' capabilities can be expanded with external components and is intended to allow MSOs to move from non-standby to standby power supplies at a competitive price point. It features a 2-year warranty and a battery management system designed to increase battery life by 20%.
Other products on display include broadband power products, including the XM3-HP UPS; the 8W FlexPoint 1208-F RFoG power supply; the 15W FlexPoint 1215; the OutBack Power FLEXpower ONE Inverter System; and batteries, enclosures, surge protection equipment, and transponders.
