Wyoming-based telco Silver Star Communications is planning to launch 1 Gbps fiber-based Internet service in Jackson, WY. The company's Gigabiz initiative includes plans to expand to other communities beyond Jackson, including to the nearby town of Thayne, in the coming months.
Silver Star is using Calix (NYSE:CALX) equipment for the deployment, including the 844G GigaCenter, E7-2 and E7-20 Ethernet Services Access Platforms, and 700GE ONTs.
