Calgary Loses Power, Shaw Steps Up

Shaw Communications (TSX:SJR.B) is opening up its Shaw Go WiFi Guest Network to all Calgary residents and visitors to help people stay connected during the power outage affecting the downtown core. Shaw is also working with city officials to set up WiFi, phone lines and TV service at the community information center that has been set up at the Mewata Armoury in Calgary.

Shaw is also working to set up WiFi access points at temporary locations adjacent to the affected downtown area. Shaw employees will be volunteering onsite at the temporary locations, providing access to charging stations for cell phones and mobile devices.
