UTStarcom to Highlight WiFi, Optics, SDN

At the CableLabs Summer Conference, UTStarcom (NASDAQ:UTSI) will display three classes of broadband products encompassing integrated WiFi solutions, packet optical transport products and software defined networking (SDN).

UTStarcom's WiFi access controller (AC) solution is designed to support more than 120,000 access points within one chassis. The company's latest packet optical transport solution is intended to support 100G transmission. In addition, UTStarcom recently completed a proof of concept of its SDN Open Packet Optical Network technology intended to demonstrate its ability to enable dynamic and pre-planned "bandwidth on demand" provisioning on a tier-1 carrier network.
