13 August 2003 Houston, TX, and Phoenix, AZ Lightwave -- Superconnect Ltd. and PCT International have established a formal partnership for joint marketing, sales, and development of their Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) products.

PCT provides optical broadband communication hardware. Superconnect is a software and integration solutions provider for FTTH deployments.

This agreement allows PCT to bundle Superconnect software with their hardware products as an integrated solution and also allows Superconnect to include PCT hardware in their turn-key FTTH Internet offerings. Superconnect has developed software to add support for PCT's hardware to their popular fiber hardware management and provisioning software.

"Through this partnership, PCT's EQ Link optical Ethernet platform now has sophisticated operating software to complement our transport technology," reports Brandon Wilson, vice president of technical services. "Superconnect offers a robust solution and provides additional advantages in terms of flexibility and customization."

PCT recently introduced EQ Link, an end-to-end optical Ethernet transport solution for FTTx, video-on-demand (VOD), and commercial data applications. EQ Link utilizes DWDM transport and CWDM distribution to deliver robust bandwidth services via Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) and 100-Mbit/sec links directly to the customer over fiber optics.

"Our goal has always been to provide a turn-key solution to customers," adds Daniel Baker, vice president, Superconnect, "and this partnership with PCT allows us to provide sophisticated, reliable hardware in addition to our software so that we can provide an end to end solution."

Superconnect iNOC (Instant Network Operations Center) and iPOP (Instant Point of Presence) software allows cable, telephone, and utility companies to easily provide Internet services to their customers. It manages every aspect of broadband service from provisioning customer ports, utilization tracking, monitoring, web page hosting, and electronic mail.
