EXFO Electro-Optical Engineering Inc. (NASDAQ: EXFO, TSE: EXF) announced a major upgrade to its FTB-5320 and IQ-5320 Multi-Wavelength Meters. EXFO increased the dynamic range of its field-ready and manufacturing plant Multi-Wavelength Meters to 55 dB (from -45 to +10 dBm) in order to allow detection of low-power peaks on long-haul DWDM networks.

EXFO also improved the wavelength accuracy and signal-to-noise ratio on these advanced optical test instruments to make them the ideal choices for telecommunications carriers and systems manufacturers.

The field-ready and manufacturing plant Multi-Wavelength Meters, which are housed inside separate modular test platforms, can be combined with other test modules like an Optical Spectrum Analyzer to fully characterize an optical network and its related components.
