December 13, 2004 Stockholm -- Swedish optical data and telecom solutions supplier Lumentis has received an order from the power and communications company Lyse in Norway. Lyse has ordered optical transmission equipment for its fiber-based triple-play broadband network that will enable tenants can get access to high-speed Internet, telephony, and digital TV in one socket.
Lyse offers a ready-to-use broadband platform that can deliver the bandwidth needed for high-speed broadband, telephony, and digital TV in a single fiber to the home.
"It means a great deal to us that Lyse has selected Lumentis as supplier of optical transmission equipment. The order is a breakthrough for Lumentis on the Norwegian broadband market, and since Lyse is the leading provider of high-speed Internet access and triple-play in we could not wish for a better reference customer in Norway," says PÃ¤r Johanson, director of marketing and sales at Lumentis.
The transmission equipment delivered by Lumentis will be put into operation in the beginning of January 2005.
