Bernard is a senior telecommunications and business strategy professional with more than 15 years of global experience in the field of optical fibre communications. He previously joined Telekom Malaysia R&D in 2003 and then Telekom Malaysia (TM) as the Assistant General Manager of Group Business Strategy till 2011. Now, he is the Regional Technology Director for SENKO Advanced Components. Bernard is also an Expert at the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), a Chartered Engineer (CEng) accredited by the Engineering Council of UK, a Professional Engineer (PEng) registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and also a BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD). In the past 15 years, Bernard has designed, commission and audited numerous communications networks.

Sharon Lutz has 17 years of experience in fiber optic interconnects with US Conec and is currently the Product Manager over precision optical components. She has written and co-authored several technical papers and articles as well as presented at technical conferences internationally. She has served as a technical expert for various industry standards including IEC, IEEE, and TIA. She now serves as convenor of the IEC SC 86B WG6 for the development of fiber optic connector standards.

Sharon received her Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2004 and is pursuing her Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University.
