September 18th webcast: Moving Optics Inside
This was originally broadcast on September 18, 2019
and is now available for on demand viewing.
A certificate of attendance will be offered.
As data rates continue to increase and new architectures start to emerge for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, traditional methods and implementations are being supplanted by new ideas and concepts. The driving factor is to move the optics closer to the source of the data to reduce the power hungry interfaces used today. On-board optics are the first step towards building systems of the future where photons and electronics operate at wafer scale.
