EAB Tele A.S. (Baerum, Norway) selected c-cor Electronics Inc. (State College, PA) to provide distribution equipment for construction of a two-way hybrid fiber/coaxial-cable network for providing Internet access. The network, located in Baerum in the Oslo area, will pass approximately 45,000 homes and should be completed by 2000. A pilot project earlier this year successfully connected 2000 homes. The contract calls for c-cor to provide its AM Fiber headend equipment, I-Flex optical nodes, 862-MHz FlexNet 900 Series amplifiers, and I-Flex terminating bridges.
