Optical fiber

Optical fiber

GigaGuide optical fiber is a communications fiber tuned specifically for next-generation Gigabit Ethernet data-communications systems. It has a 62.5-micron core and operates at a minimum of 300 m using the IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet standards. Optical performance has been characterized for both the current generation of LED sources as well as conventional edge-emitting and vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser sources.
