Summary
Modern smartphones comprise multiple wireless systems for communication, as well as high speed electronics systems that can transmit signals unintentionally. Both intentional and unwanted emissions are highly regulated and must meet certain limits before a smartphone can be sold. With the complexity and number of variants of a modern device, this can become a challenge to achieve and mistakes can be very expensive to fix. Additionally, countries may have differing requirements which add to the challenge.
Fortunately electromagnetic simulation has become a trusted method of achieving early-stage compliant design. Having a software tool deliver the compliance KPIs before the device is built is a major benefit to smartphone OEMs and allows them to proceed from design to hardware build with confidence.
In this webinar we review the state of the art in simulation for regulatory compliance.
