US Conec fires new salvo against SENKO in fiber connector patent fight

March 25, 2024
The fiber connector company filed an International Trade Commission (ITC) complaint and federal lawsuit alleging patent infringement related to various fiber connector products.

As part of an ongoing patent battle with SENKO, US Conec has filed an International Trade Commission (ITC) complaint and an accompanying federal lawsuit in the Eastern District of Texas alleging infringement of numerous patents covering various products, including SN, SN-MT, and MPO connectors.

Each company manufactures VSFF connectors and associated adapters—the CS, SN, and SN-MT connectors in SENKO’s case and the MMC and MDC connectors in US Conec’s.

Both legal actions cite SENKO and several other companies.

US Conec notes this as only part of its multifaceted defense and response to SENKO’S actions.

Further, the vendor continues to seek a speedy resolution to the entire situation so that its attention can be rightly refocused on creating innovative optical interconnect technology and serving the industry’s needs.

US Conec has asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to conduct an immediate investigation, “pursuant to Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, 19 U.S.C. § 1337, with respect to violations of Section 337 based on the sale for importation into the United States, the importation into the United States, and/or the sale within the United States after importation of Respondents’ fiber-optic connectors, adapters, jump cables, patch cords, products containing the same, and components thereof that infringe one or more claims of the Asserted Patents.”
