Optical MEMS platform released to advance telecom equipment technology

March 29, 2010

MARCH 30 2010 -- Micralyne Inc. has developed an Advanced Optical MEMS platform for the fiber communication industry that is designed to decrease the time it takes to bring a device to market and reduce development and operational costs.

The technology addresses two market needs: simple switching and attenuation, as well as complex switching for reconfigurable networks. It is well suited for applications requiring low mirror tilt, including VOA, VOA arrays, and low-port-count WSS, as well as for more demanding applications such as high-port-count WSS and OXC.
