TELEHOUSE says it has expanded its New York International Internet Exchange (NYIIX) with connections to five new locations, thanks to global reseller partner IX Reach. The expansion enables NYIIX customers to access the exchange through IX Reach's points-of-presence (PoPs), in addition to its metro network in New York.
The new connections access points in Ashburn, VA, Chicago, Boston, Dallas, and Toronto.
"Historically, United States-owned Internet exchanges have not offered a variety of fractional ports, until Telehouse opened NYIIX in 1996," says Ruth Plater, vice president of sales and marketing for IX Reach. "We are excited to provide our customers access to this level of flexibility across all of our markets."

TELEHOUSE operates a pair of exchanges, both the NYIIX as well as the Los Angeles International Internet Exchange (LAIIX).
