Hilliary Communications upgrades FTTH network to gigabit speeds with ADTRAN

Hilliary Communications will upgrade its fiber to the home (FTTH) infrastructure in Oklahoma and north central Texas with 1-Gbps service capabilities using technology from ADTRAN, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADTN), the technology vendor announced.

Hilliary Communications will upgrade its fiber to the home (FTTH) infrastructure in Oklahoma and north central Texas with 1-Gbps service capabilities using broadband access network technology from ADTRAN, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADTN), the technology vendor announced.

Hilliary serves a number of remote and rural communities through a variety of local communications services companies. It is upgrading its fiber-optic network to enable higher-speed support of its IP telephony, HDTV, and business Ethernet services to those customers. ADTRAN has worked with Hilliary on FTTH builds for several of its operations (see, for example, "ADTRAN lights up Oklahoma and Texas for Texhoma Fiber" and "Medicine Park Telephone delivers FTTH services to Oklahoma communities with ADTRAN").
